Freelance Business Central developer
One senior developer. Your whole Business Central.
I am Arvydas, the founder of ArvyDev. For 14 years I have implemented, upgraded and extended Dynamics NAV and Business Central. When you hire me, the person who scopes the work is the person who builds it and picks up the phone afterwards.
- 14+ years of NAV / BC engineering
- MS official Microsoft partner
- 10+ projects shipped to AppSource
- 70+ extensions delivered across 50+ businesses
What I do for you
Four things, done end to end.
-
Implementation
Business Central set up around how your company actually works: process analysis, configuration, opening balances, training and go-live.
-
Upgrades and migrations
NAV 2009 to 2018 moved to Business Central without losing what works. C/AL converted to AL extensions, data migrated with tooling I built for exactly this.
-
Extensions and integrations
AL extensions that follow Microsoft's guidelines, AppSource products taken through validation, and integrations with the systems you already run.
-
Support and rescue
Solutions I built and solutions I inherited: questions answered, issues fixed, small improvements delivered, billed for the work done.
Why hire me directly
One senior person instead of a firm.
Large partners are the right choice for some projects. For most SMB work they are not, and the reasons show up on the invoice.
- The person who scopes is the person who builds.
No salesperson estimates and no hand-off to a junior. What I quote is what I will do, and I know before quoting whether standard Business Central already covers it.
- You pay for work, not for structure.
My estimates list analysis, configuration, code, migration and training. Project managers, account managers and engagement overhead are not on the list because they are not on the team.
- No monthly retainer.
Support is billed for the work actually done. A month in which you needed nothing costs nothing.
- One person covering the whole of Business Central.
Finance, inventory, jobs, integrations, upgrades. Cross-area work does not wait for a second specialist and does not get done twice.
- When a firm is the better call.
A project measured in thousands of hours with a hard deadline needs a team, and I will say so at the estimate. Large but unhurried scope can be phased so that one senior person delivers it well.
How it works
From first email to go-live.
- Tell me the story
Write what you want to build, upgrade or fix. I reply within one business day, usually with questions.
- Get a written estimate
Scope broken down by item, with hours, and a note of what standard Business Central already covers. Free, and yours to benchmark against other quotes.
- Build, go live, stay reachable
Development through proper pipelines, testing against your real data, trained users at go-live. Afterwards you have my direct email and phone, not a ticket queue.
Integrations
Systems I have connected to Business Central.
Cloud storage, banks, carriers, e-signing, recruitment and marketplace platforms, built for UK partners and Lithuanian customers over the last six years.
Track record
Fourteen years in NAV and Business Central.
- ArvyDev, 2022 to now
Founded the company, delivered 20+ Business Central implementations, built upgrade tooling that shortens NAV to BC migrations, and made it an official Microsoft partner.
- Partner contracts, 2020 to now
Senior contract developer for Microsoft partners, including the UK's top Gold partners: cloud-ready AL to strict coding standards, and most of the integrations listed above.
- AppSource products
Sole architect and developer of several published solutions: secure licensing, Re-Rent, Jobs, plus a solution of roughly 3,000 objects brought through validation after clearing over 60,000 compiler errors and warnings.
- Alna Business Solutions, 2011 to 2020
Senior developer for nine years and technical lead on the Lithuanian localization of Business Central. Innovation of the Year 2016, Alna Group.

- Luminor (DNB): complex NAV migration with data structure changes
- UAB EIKA: NAV 2013 → 2018 upgrade with a new Lease Management module
- UAB Litesko: migration to Dynamics 365 Business Central
Questions people ask before hiring one developer
Do you do the work yourself?
Yes. Analysis, design and code are mine. If a project needs more hands than one, I say so at the estimate rather than after.
Do you work with companies outside Lithuania?
Yes. Most of my contract work since 2020 has been for UK partners, fully remote. I work in English and Lithuanian from Vilnius, two hours ahead of London and one ahead of most of Europe.
Is depending on one developer a risk?
Everything I build is delivered as source code you own, follows Microsoft's AL guidelines and is documented, so any Business Central developer can continue it. Nothing I write locks you in.
How do you bill?
Against the written estimate, for work done. Invoices come from ArvyDev, MB, a VAT-registered Lithuanian company. No monthly fee and no prepaid hours that expire.
What if my project is too big for one person?
Then I will tell you, and either phase it so it is not, or point you towards a team. Benchmark one concrete task across a few quotes before deciding; the difference is usually the structure, not the developer.
